There will be no date this Thursday due to Thanksgiving. But who wants skipped updates? I sure don’t! So here is this Thursday’s strip, posted a little early.

There is an old version of this scene which I did months ago. The old version didn’t show the villagers assembling; you just saw Ethan surrounded all of sudden, which felt a little clunky, writing/pacing-wise.

So I present to you the New and Improved Version. The suyori’s portrait and the very last panel are from the old version, but everything else is new.

And yes! Asia is MUCH more than just Japan or China. There are many underrepresented Asian cultures, and Korea is the one I’m partial to. I’ll be checking out your comic after getting the next update ready. <3

Mmm, I think it makes sense, from Ethan’s point of view – waking up in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by others, can be quite jarring! (*cough* falling asleep in a school cafeteria *cough*)
I really like that shot of the rain coming down from the sky – all of these painted skies look so good…

Thank you! Painting skies is something I find very relaxing, something that lets me zone out and zen out.

It annoys me that the Wikipedia article on Middle Korean doesn’t really answer the question of whether it’s at all intelligible to a speaker of Modern Korean . . . but the impression I get from other sources is “no.”
