That last panel was a little tricky to figure out, artistically. How does one portray shiny magic in broad daylight? I ended up dimming the hell out of the sunlight for that moment to exaggerate the shiny magic.

Don’t worry, Keiiii. We’ll just pretend some clouds passed overhead at that point in time.

That is totally legit! XD

Did you ever watch a blacksmith working hot iron? When s/he brings a piece of nearly white-hot iron to the anvil, the rest of the world dims in comparison. What you did is exactly how it would probably be IRL. You know what I mean. Yeah, just like that.

Wyrm sounds like it has some definite health effects, but I doubt its culinary value.

Or maybe they just didn’t prepare it right. Maybe it should be slow roasted with a nice BBQ rub instead of brewed into tea?

Probably over steeped it. I hate stewed tea.

I would be suspicious of eating those octopodes afterward…

Especially if they retain some of the glow :0 !!

Just discovered your lovely story this morning, and wound up binge-reading everything from the first page up to today. I love a story that has some careful thought put into:
a) individual characters’ backgrounds and their personality development along believable paths according to events in their story, and
b) a world that is both consistent and believable within its own rules and history.
Your story has both, with the added joy of beautiful artwork that is easy and restful on my old eyes. I look forward to following your story for as long as you continue to share it. Thank you!

Wow! Both of those are very important to me as a writer, so reading your comment was flattering and humbling at the same time. I hope you’ll enjoy what the rest of the story has to offer!

Wow! I love the frozen action in the last panel.

Thanks! Sometimes a shot can be still and dynamic at once :D

Btw, have we heard about wyrms before this?

keii4iiApril 1, 2018 @ 8:55 AMReply

Sure we have! First time in chapter 3, shown throughout the comic every now and then, and the tea mentioned in chapter 18.

That does not sound at all pleasant.
