The last panel was posted on my Twitter a while ago! I like it much better as a part of this page, though. It was designed to be a part of this downward flow, so it works better as a part of this vertical sequence than on its own.

Oh my gosh this is so beautiful! I just knew it was Ethan’s dad when she brought it up, but this page basically confirms it, which makes me very happy, but also sad for Ethan and his family. I really want to know what their going to do next. Will this new information change their plans. This also basically confirms that it’s possible for Ethan to go back home, but will he still want to go back? I need answers!

Yeah, it feels like a sad option either way, doesn’t it… to go back or not… And the ticket back home might even come at a price! Possibly.

Wow! What a great page. Really helps convey the emotions of the scene and memories.

Thank you! I find environments and sceneries very evocative and emotional, so I lean to that kind of imageries in my own work. I try to communicate what I feel when I look at such sceneries.

I was already deeply moved by the story and the art, but it’s becoming more and more enthralling… Pages like this one make me happy and filled of beauty for the week.

One of the most important parts of my job is to create beauty at the expense of my characters. >_> <_<

This page is gorgeous for sure, but that central panel is absolutely *devastating*… still.
Even looking at it now (most definately not for the first time).. I can’t without tears welling up in my eyes.

I wonder if Ethan’s dad was an ‘illetal ddogaebi’ because of his PTSD; that constant emotional state where he’s always tapping into that little bit that Red Gate people have, and combine this with having a natural gift/knack for it as well

…and I wonder if Ethan has that knack too, which is why it spills out when he feels strong emotion as well
