I like with Ethan’s luck he will find a very uncommon one, it would certainly be interesting if he gains a secondary weaker power, maybe telepathy since he has been using that a couple of times now?

Telepathy would be a funky one! I haven’t yet had a chance to do a proper visual translation of how telepathy works.

Ok, so we know about 4 abilities, but there’s still another 6 or 7 unexplained that only illegal dokabi can get, so much worldbuilding to find out about dokabi! And what specialty did Ethan’s dad get? What is this ominous mention of choosing being the “only safe way out”? Is that why Ethan’s dad is so messed up now? Did he exit the wrong way? So many questions! (And it doesn’t really help that the only path Ethan knows for sure what it leads to is the one he WON’T want.) Also, please Lu, don’t make Ethan sick by trying to wake him up right now!

There’s a lot to be learned about the powers for sure! And not a lot of sources to learn from… It’s illegal, it’s dangerous, so there hasn’t been much study on the topic. At least with Arborist, Ethan would have an experienced teacher, unlike with the lesser known powers…

I’m all for juggling octopi. Gimme some dragon to dine on!
