That beige stick in her hand is a yeot, a traditional Korean candy. It’s hard and dry when stored, but becomes stiiiiicky in your mouth. Not recommended for people with loose adult teeth!

That last panel was a little tricky to figure out, artistically. How does one portray shiny magic in broad daylight? I ended up dimming the hell out of the sunlight for that moment to exaggerate the shiny magic.
Somebody reeeeally doesn’t like sannakji.
I kind of wish I hadn’t titled chapter 12 “Arrowcatcher,” as it took months to even reveal what it means. But hey, here it is now!
